This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Permitful uses, what they are for and how You can control them. For how We handle personal information generally, see Our Privacy Policy.

  • Company ("We", "Us" or "Our" in this Cookie Policy) means Gavin Grant Consulting, a sole proprietorship owned by Gavin Grant, which operates Permitful, 1362 Frankfort St APT 4301, San Diego, CA 92110.
  • Cookies are small files a website stores in Your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar: they keep small records in Your browser, which are not sent to Our servers with each request. Session storage is cleared when You close the tab.
  • You means the person using the website at permitful.com and the Permitful application.

What We Use

Essential

These are needed for the Service to work, so they cannot be turned off in Cookie Settings.

  • Sign-in cookies (sb-…-auth-token, set by Us through Supabase): keep You signed in. They are set when You sign in and stay until You sign out or the session expires.
  • Last sign-in method (local storage, auth_last_method): remembers how You last signed in (email and password, or Google) and, for email sign-in, Your email address, so the sign-in page can remind You.
  • Stripe cookies (__stripe_mid, 1 year, and __stripe_sid, 30 minutes): set by Stripe on Our billing page to process payments and prevent fraud.
  • Your cookie choice (local storage, permitful_cookie_consent): remembers whether You accepted or rejected analytics and advertising cookies, for up to one year.
  • Permit Advisor results (session storage): keeps suggestions You have not reviewed yet, for up to 24 hours, so a reload does not lose them.

Preferences

  • Theme (theme cookie, 1 year, and local storage): remembers whether You chose the light or dark theme.
  • Sidebar (sidebar:state cookie, 7 days): remembers whether the application's sidebar is open.

Analytics and advertising measurement

  • Google Analytics (_ga and _ga_… cookies, up to 2 years): tell visits from the same browser apart, so We can understand how the website is used.
  • Google Ads (_gcl_… cookies, up to 90 days): connect a click on one of Our ads to a later sign-up or subscription, so We can measure Our advertising.
  • Campaign record (local storage, permitful.adClick, up to 90 days): the ad click identifier and campaign details of the link that brought You here, as described in Our Privacy Policy.
  • Conversion records (local and session storage, permitful.…): note that Your sign-up or purchase has already been counted, so it is not counted twice, and the plan You picked while You are at checkout. They hold no information about You beyond an account or checkout ID.

We do not use these to show You personalized ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the Google cookies are set only once You accept them, and where We ask for Your consent the campaign record is kept only once You accept. Elsewhere they are on by default, and You can turn them off at any time.

Content from other services

  • YouTube: the video on Our home page plays from YouTube's privacy-enhanced service (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing is loaded from YouTube until You press Play; once You do, YouTube may store cookies or similar data in Your browser.
  • Google Maps: the project forms in the application load Google Maps to suggest addresses as You type.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: the sign-in, sign-up, password-reset and contact forms load Cloudflare's check that You are not a bot.

These services handle what they collect under their own privacy policies: Google and Cloudflare.

Your Choices

You can accept or reject analytics and advertising cookies, and change Your choice at any time, from Cookie Settings. Rejecting deletes the Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies and the campaign record from Your browser. Your choice applies to the browser You make it in.

You can also block or delete cookies in Your browser's settings. If You block essential cookies, You will not be able to sign in.

Changes to This Cookie Policy

We will update this policy when We change the cookies We use, and update the "Last updated" date above. If We start using cookies for a new purpose that needs Your consent, We will ask You again.
