We've rebuilt how Permit Advisor picks permits so its suggestions are more reliable:
- Permits match Permitful's catalog. Suggestions always map to a real permit type, instead of being matched by keyword, which sometimes turned an unfamiliar permit name into the wrong type.
- Searches focus on your city. Permit Advisor searches official
.govsources for your project's city and state, and ranks pages about that city first. - Every source is real. Cited sources are always pages Permit Advisor actually searched.
- Fewer false alarms. Location-specific permits such as coastal, floodplain or historic review are only suggested when there's a concrete reason, and separately permitted work such as demolition is picked up from your project description.
- Clearer errors. If permit search is temporarily unavailable, you'll see that instead of an empty list, and the run doesn't count against your plan.
