Permit status history

Every permit now keeps a record of its status changes, so you can see when it was submitted, how long it has been in review, and how long each step took.

Every permit now has a Status history. Each time you change a permit's status, Permitful records when it changed and what it changed from, and shows it on the permit page under your milestones.

For each status, you'll see the date the permit reached it and how long it stayed there. The current status counts up, so it's easy to answer the question every client asks: how long has the city had this?

  • Nothing to set up. History is recorded automatically whenever you change a permit's status.
  • See how long each step took, like how many days a permit spent in review before it was approved.
  • Fix the dates. Updated a permit a few days after you actually submitted it? Use the menu on any entry to set the date it really happened. Corrected dates are marked as edited.
  • Remove mistakes. Picked the wrong status by accident? Remove that entry and the timeline closes the gap, as if it never happened.

Permits created before today start their history with their next status change. Permits still in draft are counted as drafts from the day they were created.
