Permit Advisor keeps its suggestions, and your free run

Suggestions you skip are offered again until you act on them, and a free run that finds nothing for your project isn't used up.

Permit Advisor spends about a minute researching a project, so its answer shouldn't get lost. Three changes make sure it doesn't:

  • Skipped suggestions come back. If you close the review with Skip for now, or leave the page before deciding, the project shows Review suggestions in its header and in its empty permits table until you add a suggested permit or close a review with nothing to add. It's there on any device, and the next day too.
  • A run that finds nothing doesn't use up your free run. On the free plan, if Permit Advisor finds no permits for a project or can't finish, the run usually isn't counted. Check the project's location, add a sentence about the work, then run it again from the project page. As before, a run that fails because Permit Advisor is unavailable is never counted.
  • A reminder to include the state. Permit Advisor looks up the city and county's own .gov pages, so it needs to know the state. If you type a location such as "Austin" without picking a suggested address, Permitful asks you to add it ("Austin, TX") under the location field, before the run.
